Thierry Geoffroy (Colonel)
The French-Danish conceptual artist Thierry Geoffroy (*1961 in Nancy / France, lives in Copenhagen), also known as Colonel, works with different media and participatory formats in a way that corresponds to the logic of commercial media. His work examines the expression of public opinion and the role of artists in society. In his conceptual works, he explores the expectations placed on artists, the role of art institutions, and current social and political issues such as democracy, diversity, migration, and the climate crisis. In addition to such works, Geoffroy has developed several video and performance productions for Danish television.
