Walter Schröder-Limmer

Walter Schröder-Limmer (*1938 in Frankfurt/Main, lives in South Harz / Germany) began experimenting with the possibilities of the video synthesizer in the 1970s. His fascinating image worlds are created by visual, music-driven distortions of the electron beam and by mixing video signals from a wide variety of sources. This pioneer of video music and algorithmic composition stopped working with imaging techniques in 1984, and has instead focused exclusively on electronic sound ever since.
