Erik Schmidt
Erik Schmidt’s (*1968 in Herford / Germany, lives in Berlin) video works are closely related to his paintings. Throughout his practice are examinations of behavioral rituals of social subsystems and representations of normative stereotypes, codes, rituals, norms, patterns, conventions, and their interplay with existential themes such as the hunting instinct, paranoia, passion, and death.
