Sandra Becker 01 (*1967 in Freiburg/Breisgau / Germany, lives in Berlin) has been working with electronic media since 1991. Perceptual processes and the subject of time and space are central to her work, which is characterized by a poetic and intuitive approach. The artist examines major cities and their urban structures. Instead of exploring these in relation to concrete social, architectural, or historical conditions, she understands them as transitory structures of space and time. She focuses on mobility and the movement of people in space – both in the sense of the measurable and physical, as well as the subjective, individual experience of time.
